Spring is on its way
This will be a very busy month for the nursery as we will be introducing new staff members joining our team. They are Simona trainee, Danine third in charge and Anthony deputy and pre-school teacher.
All three have a wealth of experience in different aspects of the childcare industry, but all have demonstrated a passion and desire to join our fantastic nursery and to help the nursery to be the best that we can be.
This month we will be taking our children to the local farm. During the half-term the staff took some of the children as it was our first outing for the nursery, but if we wish to take all the children we would kindly ask if any parents could make themselves available to join us on Monday 20th March leaving the nursery at 9.30am to return for lunch at 11.30am. If so, please speak to your keyperson or nursery manager. All help would be very much appreciated.
Following the visit we will have “Chicks” in the nursery. Our children will experience the eggs in their incubators and be able to watch them hatch and then care and feed the chickens before the chickens return to pastor new.
We would like invite you to our coffee morning on the 30th March 9.30-10.30; this will be a great opportunity to socialise with all current parents and prospective parents. This will be held in the preschool room, as there will be hot drinks being served you will be able to leave your child in the baby room while socialising with other parents.
As part of the Castlehaven Community Association and Chalk Farm Foodbank, we would like to ask for your support in providing those in need emergency food support. If you would like to make a donation, a list of the food that is much need is displayed in the reception area, or please do speak to the manager.
Calling all green fingered parents
As spring is now approaching we would like to develop our fantastic garden area by adding some finishing touches such as old pots and pans and kitchen utensils, measuring jugs and spoons anything for our children to create their potions in our mud kitchen.
We would also like to start creating an “Insect Hotel” if you should have any ideas or perhaps you are able to spend some time to help get this project on its way it would be very much appreciated.
Good news Pancake Day was a sucess , I have to give a speacial mention to the staff members involved in this activity great “tossing” of the pancake was shown.
The children enjoy our cooking sessions here at the nursery, so if you and your child create mouth watering dishes at home perhaps you would like to come in and carry out a cooking session with all our children. Staff members would be your sole chief for the session.
